LOCTITE 518 is a sealant for flat, medium-strength joints with excellent tolerance to contamination. Ideal for use on cast iron, steel and aluminium tops.

LOCTITE® 518 cures in the absence of air between precisely fitting metal surfaces. This is an anaerobic sealant for use on rigid iron, aluminium and steel flange coupling surfaces. LOCTITE 518 bridges gaps of up to 0.25 mm and forms a flexible, chemically resistant joint that will not tear or decompose. The parts are easy to dismantle, even after many uses. It is used, among other things, to seal rigid metal coupling surfaces with a precise fit. It can also be used to obtain a flat joint in rigid clamp couplings, for example in transmission and engine housings.
