This part being universal, it may require adaptations
Brembo now presents a new evolution of the radial pump concept with the new 19RCS CORSA CORTA. This innovative radial master cylinder introduces a number of new features which, through the technical solutions adopted, incorporate many aspects of the pumps used in motorcycle Grand Prix racing.
What''s new about the 19RCS CORSA CORTA is that the rider can adapt the braking point position to his preferred riding style, thanks to an easily accessible slider on the top of the pump.
One pump, three modes: By means of an eccentric-type device, the slider allows selection between three different types of drive.
PR 19 is recommended for equipped motorcycles:
choose the center distance of your brake master cylinder (second value): 16, 18 or 20
These figures correspond to the distance between the brake lever pivot and the piston fulcrum.
The shorter the distance, the more powerful the brake application, and vice versa.
The ease with which you can switch from one type of braking to another means you can vary the feel of the ride by choosing from one of three modes, and change the configuration immediately and linearly.
Brembo''s 19RCS CORSA CORTA also includes the RCS (Ratio Click System). Introduced 10 years ago on the Brembo 19RCS radial pump, it enables the pump centre distance to be set to 18 or 20, simply by rotating the adjustment piece on the front of the brake lever through 180° using a flathead screwdriver, with an eccentric-type system (coloured red when set to 18 mm and black when set to 20 mm) that shifts the distance between the piston axis and the lever pivot by 2 mm: the result is a different distribution of braking force, without affecting the power itself.
The pump body is made of forged aluminum, machined using CAM technology. For the finish, we opted for hard oxidation, which gives the pump body particularly high resistance to wear and optimal component sliding.
The piston and seals are identical to those used in motorcycle racing championships, as are the seats of the bleed and feed system which, with an incline of over 30°, facilitate bleeding of the pump.
The brake lever assembly can be replaced without having to remove the RCS (Ratio Click System) from the pump, which means that the settings made during assembly in the Brembo Racing workshop remain unchanged.
