POLINI Clutch Spring - Manufacturer Ref. 243.089

Designed for the rear drive pulley of the variator, this Polini spring enhances the pressure on the tension pulley to improve belt grip when the transmission is stressed by conversion kits or an increase in torque and power. This part is intended for the urban environment and maxiscooters, functioning where the transmission needs to remain clear under heavy load.

Usage characteristics:

• Increases pressure on the rear tension pulley to limit belt slippage.
• Available in several stiffnesses: 10% (blue) for maxiscooters, 7% (white) for 50cc scooters, 15% (blue) for 50cc scooters — choose the pressure suited to actual needs.
• To be installed only when necessary after checking the wear of the belt and the proper functioning of the variator.

Workshop advice: always prefer the spring with the lowest pressure that ensures transmission. A spring that is too hard tends to "trap" the belt between the pulleys, accelerating its wear and reducing transmission efficiency. Before installation, check the belt, rollers, and variator slides.
