This new transmission system exploits the Malossi elements already on sale since last year, adding a few innovative details to make the whole system suitable for the enormous powers involved. The new system is centred on the torque corrector''s new "Fixed Pulley", with its larger diameter and cutting-edge technological features. The larger diameter of this pulley provides a higher transmission ratio range than the original pulley, which has a slightly smaller outer diameter.
Malossi''s technicians have also taken great care over the construction of this pulley, using special materials and a type of thermochemical treatment that ensures very high resistance to wear and abrasion, as well as considerable surface hardness. This new fixed pulley has been designed to work perfectly when coupled with the Malossi Torque Driver, already in production, which has the same diameter as the fixed pulley.
To fully exploit the capabilities of the new torque corrector unit and the power ratings now available on competition vehicles, a new Malossi toothed belt in KevlarĀ® (K Belt) has been introduced. Its cross-section has been increased and its length adapted to ensure maximum efficiency in all operating conditions.
To complete the renewal of the transmission system and exploit all its technical features, Malossi has also adapted the Multivar variator, equipping it with new roller tracks and a new hub. This new variator is the evolution of previous generations, born of in-depth experience gained on competition circuits, and Cad-Cam technology now available, enabling technical results worthy of the highest levels.
The patented adjustable Delta Clutch and reinforced Malossi Wing Clutch Bell complete the OVER RANGE system.
