This engine mount, made from solid 4 mm-thick aluminum sheet, has been specially developed for the Ducati DesertX (22-). It protects the oil filter and other parts of the Crossplane engine.

Extra protection for the engine against stone-throwing and ground contact: the high-grade aluminum-alloy engine cover, which proves its worth in off-road use, gives the motorcycle both added safety and a distinctive look. Production processes based on the highest quality standards ensure a perfect fit for each motorcycle''s specific protective parts.
